The Zebra or Doppler Effect

 Hey everyone!

You know this weekend was a time good spent. Got some studying done for my midterms, ate lots of good foods and yeah I got a post. A trend that seems to be coming back full force this season is black and white. Aside from simple black and white patterns, what is making a big statement are stripes, namely the black-and-white ones, it’s shaping up as one of the hottest trends. And we got Marc Jacobs and Moschino’s Spring’ 13 runways to thank for this burgeoning two-tone takeover. I was reading recently why ZARA runs so smoothly, one point they made was Zara anticipate the upcoming trends before runways and their unbeatable reasonable prizes make Zara what it is now. I think Zara’s founder’s family is one of the 6 wealthiest families in the world and number 1 in Spain. What I am trying to say is, Zara anticipated this trend last year and they had a nice collection of stripes. Zara is so successful that they do less online and its very hard to get sizes if your local stores run out. Only selective countries have Zara online and Australia isn’t one of em. I had to go through a hell lot of trouble to get my hands on this Blazer along with my Zara military and tweed jacket, which I wore in my first 2 posts of 2013. I had to ask my friend in US to get it delivered in her address and she had it delivered to Australia. It was very expensive with all the delivery stuffs having to care of myself. I liked 2 other purchases, actually loved em but I was meaning to sell this Blazer, as you can see size is little too big. I didn’t remove the price tag, hoping I could sell but now it’s like one of the must haves of 2013, I decided to keep it. Actually can’t find a buyer( laugh), anyone interested? I will sell it for $100 (wink)

 One of the new ways to pair your Blazer this season is to wear a matching shorts. I have really been digging this trend. White, Black,red,pink,yellow,Green colored Blazers look so amazing if worn this way, thats my personal observation and I tried with stripes, what do you think? Stripes give Vintage and retro look; it is clean, crisp and classic.
The mall where I usually shop did some extension and I particularly was looking forward to the opening of Michael Kor and while I was on it I visited Stella McCartney and Gucci showroom, knowing I couldn't buy a thing. All of em had amazing black and white patterned cloths. To step- down , brands like Zara and topshop have amazing black and white collections this season as well.

 Normally you will notice with my stilettos, I tag never worn or hardly worn and its true, but with my wedges they are like the most worn, explains why this one looks so beaten up! I love wedges, its gives you required height lift and your feets don't kill you whole day. Nothing beats my initialled shirt (wink).

Howdy!

I just got back my laptop and they have done a very good job, it feels great. I thought I would post these photos, which were taken around last weekend, and now that I have my laptop I could do necessary editing.

Coming back to this post, it seems black and white will play a huge part in trends of 2013. They are no longer reserved for basics and formal events. In this look I tried to pull off what seemed impossible, yes! say hello to my new summer bestie..White on white! I have seen most celebrities wear whites and I have been meaning to do a post but whenever I tried on white ensemble, it just didn't look right. I have been wanting to do a post ever since Taylor Swift walked dressed all white for her Grammy performance, but what triggered me the most is the Korean band Big bang. I was watching their recent concert in Japan and all members were beautifully dressed in white, and I knew I somehow had to pull that look off. I admit wearing it could be little unnerving. It requires more effort to pull off this ensemble, as it bears higher risk for dreaded lunch spill or coffee (you know what I mean).

Well this is my second post on heel-less platforms (here). I did a fair research before I bought them and many reviews said they were quite comfy despite their looks. I Couldn't disagree more, we have very different definition of comfort! these badass shoes are very dangerous, I think you can walk in them only in plain platforms. If you trip I think you can seriously hurt your ankles. I am not really good with heels to begin with. How I ended up with this shoe is a very long story. I will save you from all these jibbber jabbers.

If my pants are long, I like it peg legged than folding it inside.

Look not at me but what is behind me, my white flats (laugh), like I said these shoes are pretty dangerous.

I don't feel the need to elaborate more on this trend, who doesn't like white, right? So thought will just come up with random topic. Do you guys watch Games of thrones? I started watching because I couldn't understand why everyone liked it so much. Even after watching few first episodes, I found it little too barbaric for my liking. I love action movies just fine, but somehow few episodes didn't meet my expectation. Few of my friends who are die hard fan of the show, they were like "its so awesome right?" and I couldn't help but give a hesitant " right...” But that is like history now; I am such a huge fan now. I even started reading their books on eBook. Season 3 was just aired last week and I read on CNET that it broke all BitTorent Records. I know show is little controversial on its adult scenes but I think its epic where story is headed.

Trend Report : Camo/ military styl3

 Hello People,
Did you guys get fooled today? (laugh).It feels like its been ages since I have updated, well my apologies! I thought this short easter break was perfect for us to have a post.When we started blogging everyone was so excited and we would go places to take pictures but now we feel so burdened to carry heavy camera when we go out, that is why we end up taking pictures near my house- almost all the time.
Today, as a easter monday weather was so perfect. It was partially sunny and not so hot, I decided it was a perfect weather to pull out my sweatshirt.I wasn't sure how and what to pair it with, then I remembered one of the  pairing I l liked on the sketch made my Stella Mccartney on how to wear skater skirt( here);the picture which I have as my cover photo on my page.

 I don't have to mention about the recent hype we got around camo- print. Camouflage print has been around for ages,but now military inspired print has taken a new life. The print that  was once a staple in guy's closet has gained quite a momentum in women's fashion. They can be edge and girlie, depends on how you rock it.From all the recent trends that are around, camo/ mlitary prints take the prize. I personally love em, and I have quite a small collection. I just love mixing the untamed military spirit with an effortless casual-cool vibe all the while playing with the essence of Street style's attitude.

I searched a perfect footwear for my this look, and I found these shoes in my un-touched, hardly worn section. It had both green and black shades. I read somewhere that shoe hoarders; the more they have the more they want, and I was like how true. I have never really been a hoarder, if I don't use an outfit or shoes, I have always found it wise to give away to someone needy, who could make a better use of it. Now I am a class A hoarder, I haven't thrown or given away any of my stuffs and I realised how stuffed my room was, actually its not that I don't want to, I just don't know whom to give here.
I urge my readers to donate stuffs you don't use in closet, little things matter you know. You don't have to hoard just to make a point that you have a huge closet- thats just my thought, I am not judging anyone.

 In 2009, I was obsessed with the likes of this glass, I had them in so many colors. Now I am not even sure if I still have em. She wears glasses and I knew she could just rock it with the sexy nerdy vibe, what do you think?
